| A comedy about growing up... and the bumps along the way. |
| Let’s face it, teenage pregnancy isn’t your typical fodder for comedy. But Juno is no typical comedy, it’s more just a perfect little snapshot of the life of one girl who finds herself with serious decisions to make, with all the comedy and drama that such situations throw up in ‘real life’. It was a one night thing, an armchair, Juno (Ellen Page, Hard Candy) and her sweatband-adorned runner friend Paulie Bleaker (Michael Cera, Superbad and TV’s consummate Arrested Development). Others may see him as a dork, but Juno sees past all the superficiality to somebody she thinks is way cool. Cut forward a couple of months and she’s “forshizz up the spout”. After deciding against an abortion, Juno resolves to carry the baby to term and give it up for adoption, so the search begins for suitable parents.
