In Vilgax Attacks you take control of Ben and stomp some alien butt using the Omnitrix’s most popular forms, including ‘Echo Echo’, ‘Goop’, ‘Brainstorm’, ‘ChromaStone’, ‘Big Chill’, ‘Humungousaur’, ‘Spidermonkey’, ‘Swampfire’, ‘Jet Ray’ and ‘Cannonbolt’. We should also take this chance to tell you that you can only play as ‘Upchuck’ on the NDS version – which is a bit annoying, because he’s the form we most identify with… especially on a Friday night!
This latest videogame adaptation of Ben 10 features a unique story that you won’t see in any of the TV episodes. You’ll journey into outer space and to distant never-before-seen planets, meet aliens, tell them you come in peace, and then kick their butts (assuming said species have evolved to the point of having butts, of course).
Wreaking havoc as one of your Omnitrix beasts is a surprising amount of fun, as all of them have their own special moves and tricks. The fighting system is very combo focused, and every baddie that you thwomp scores you some experience points, which can be used to acquire new attacks and abilities. True Ben 10 fans should beam this one up immediately. |
